I happened upon your site while researching The Scarlet Letter, symbolism. And your paper: Scarlet Letter - Symbolism in The Scarlet Letter, proved to be very helpful for me! I just wanted to comment and say thank you for the time you poured into this site and the works posted here, and I believe it has been a blessing to many people. Also, I am a Christian as well, and I was so excited to see you were and of how proudly you proclaim it! Thank you for standing firm in the faith and for blessing others! May God bless you and yours as you continue to seek Him!

Erich! It's been so long, congratulations on getting married! I pray that God will bless your marriage abundantly. So real quick on me, I'm in the seminary (I think I mentioned this the last time we communicated) that's in Mundelein, IL this is my first year here but third year overall (last two years were in Missouri). I have three an a half years left before I'm ordained. By the looks of your website (you've had this site forever!) you're doing well and I hope all continues to go well in your life. In Christ, Vince Fernandez

I was just looking up information on "The Scarlet Letter" for a college research paper. My google search lead me to your page, Its always a joy to find other Christians out there who are not afraid to express their love and thankfulness to Christ. Thanks for making my research a little more exciting!!

Erich, my brother, thank you so much. I recently had a friend contact me about Leadership Team Development, and stumbled across your blog post on it. Reading the post, the discussion, and the follow-up post and THAT discussion, I was encouraged more than you know. I have been struggling recently in the midst of financial and job uncertainties, and reading your post reminded me that there is only one thing that should matter - serving God. As an aside, I also believe that I better understand the prosperity gospel, but that's peripheral. Thank you for your wisdom and ability to clearly communicate the words of the Gospel. You have extorted this sister, and I will be bookmarking your blog. Also, you motivated me to finally start reading John Piper.

“If my life is motivated by an ambition to leave a legacy, what I would probably leave is a legacy of ambition. But, if my life is motivated by the power of God’s spirit in me and the awareness of the indwelling Christ, if I allow His presence to guide my motives, that’s the only time I think we leave a great legacy” -Rich Mullins

My favorite quote outside of the Bible. “God’s purposes are so vast and glorious, beyond all guessing now, that when they are achieved and consummated, all our sufferings and sorrows of today, even the agonies that nearly break our faith, the disasters that well nigh overwhelm us, shall, seen from that fair country where God’s age long dreams come true, bulk as little as bulk now the pieces of a broken toy upon a nursery floor, over which, thinking that all our little world was in ruins, we cried ourselves to sleep.” Dr. Leslie Weatherhead
